I had the great honor and pleasure of spending time with Dr. Adam Lewis during his short trip here to be filmed for an upcoming NOVA episode. Here is an interview in two parts, part 2 is my favorite.

    Mr. Lewis:

I am currently in the hiring mode for someone extremely adept at fund-raising, and from the subject/link discussion it seems probable that you qualify. But first a few questions (in bold):

The article quotes you as follows:

“We knew we shouldn’t expect to see something like that.”

I must admit that I am a little confused by that outburst because it is my understanding, from many years in and around science, that science is, if nothing else, the practice of ‘not expecting anything’ and merely letting the data speak for itself. So-called expectations, not a far-cry from bigotry, leads to MANY misinterpretations of and outright current/later abuse of the data: (1) So . . . what DID you expect, WHY did you expect it, and what exactly is meant by (your words), “something like that”??

Alternatively, it is clear that, given your preconceived/admitted notions which the hard data from Antarctica now refutes, a follow-up question must be answered: (2) What other preconceived notions have you inculcated that also were proven flat-wrong by the data in Antarctica? Elsewhere?

This next article content/quote is especially disturbing (but deeply relavant to your apparent qualifications as my future employee as a fund-raiser):
For 50 million years the Earth has been cooling, he said. “As it cools it crosses thresholds. This is one, when Antarctica became permanently frozen and locked up.”

“You have to understand where these thresholds are,” he added, “Because, if human beings are unfortunate enough to push climate over one of these thresholds, it could be a total catastrophe.”

One must assume that the “threshold” you are referring to are those that cause life or end life.

    (3) Now, is it a reach, given the obvious rapidity of the “freeze dried” moss and insects, that from their perspective (i.e. being FROZEN TO DEATH!!) that your outburst about “total castastrophe” must also apply??

    (4) At the time of their “freeze dried” DEATH, do you suspect that a lack of human activity was the cause; I doubt it. In other words sir, earth’s climate system RAPIDLY changed without the slightest of inputs from humans, CORRECT? (In case I am not clear, that is a simple Yes or No question).

    (5) In simpler terms, what exactly pushed the “climate over one of these thresholds and caused a total catastrophe” but in the OPPOSITE direction ala 14 million years ago, sir?

    (6) Have you read and signed the Oregon Petition Project? http://www.oism.org/pproject/

Now, just so we are crystal clear, if you are able to answer any of these questions you may no longer be considered qualified for the position I have open as a fund-raiser. That position requires that the candidate be able to ignore blatant falsehoods, promote outright diversions, and scientific misconduct without the slightest hesitation or change to their intellectual gait. In other words, they must be utterly uneffected by the truth, and only interested in self-aggrandizement and $$$. As an example, this Steven Watkinson is the type of charlatan I had in-mind. He, like the IPCC, is hedging his bets on the ruse that human-sourced CO2, and ONLY human sourced CO2 is causing “global warming,” and he is running off to an all-new fund-raising campaign: CO2 from humans is causing mass extinction through acidification of the oceans! Now, that’s what I call marketing talent:

Note from the above article quotes, Watkinson’s gait is swift and sure.

    P.S. A recent OpEd here:

Is it possible that Ms. Goodman is related to the “freeze dried” moss/insects you claim to have discovered at the South Pole?
